Anipops Privacy Policy

PIXTA Inc. (the "Company") establishes this Privacy Policy (the "Policy") regarding the handling of information, including personal information, of users of the video platform service "Anipops" provided by the Company (the "Service") (collectively, "User Information"). The Company will manage and handle User Information in a secure and appropriate manner in accordance with this Policy and will take reasonable measures to protect such information.

2. User Information Collected

The Company collects the following information in connection with the Service.

(1) Information provided directly by the User

  • Account registration information: email address, password
  • Profile information: display name, gender, date of birth, self-introduction text, profile picture
  • External social media linkage information: URLs or account IDs for social networking services such as X (formerly Twitter) (optional)
  • Inquiry information: name, contact information, content, etc. entered when submitting an inquiry

(2) Information automatically collected when using the Service

  • Device information: type of device used, OS version, browser type, etc.
  • Log information: IP address, access date and time, usage history, including viewing history and search history, etc.
  • Cookies and anonymous IDs: used to analyze Service usage, improve functionality, and enhance the User experience.

(3) Information obtained through Integration with external services

Where a User accesses the Service through an external social media account (such as Google or X), the Company may collect information provided by the relevant external service provider based on the User's consent, including the User's account ID, email address, profile image, and other information made available through such integration.

3. Purpose of Use

The Company uses the User Information obtained for the following purposes:

  1. Provision and maintenance of the Service: for login authentication, provision of video posting/viewing functions, and system operation
  2. Notices and communications to Users: for important announcements regarding the Service, notice of changes to the Terms, and responding to inquiries
  3. Service improvement and development: to analyze usage (aggregating viewing trends, demographic data, etc.) in order to improve UI/UX and develop new features
  4. Marketing and advertising: to recommend content tailored to Users' interests, to deliver advertising by the Company or third parties, and to provide campaign information
  5. Security and fraud prevention: to monitor, detect, and prevent spam, unauthorized access, and violations of the Terms
  6. Processing into non-personally-identifiable form: to create statistical data and marketing materials for use by the Company or provision to third parties

4. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company will not provide Users' personal information included in User Information to any third party without obtaining the User's prior consent, except in the following cases where such disclosure is necessary:

  1. Where required by applicable laws or regulations.
  2. Where necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property, and obtaining the User's consent is difficult.
  3. Where particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound development of children, and obtaining the User's consent is difficult.
  4. Where cooperation with a national government authority, local government authority, or an entity entrusted by such authority is necessary for the performance of legally prescribed duties, and obtaining the User's consent may interfere with the execution of such duties.
  5. Outsourcing of services: Where the Company entrusts all or part of the handling of personal information to third-party service providers to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use, including server management providers, analytics tool providers, and other service providers.
  6. Business succession: Where personal information is transferred in connection with a business succession, including through a merger, corporate split, business transfer, or any other form of transfer of business.

5. Security Control Measures

The Company shall take necessary and appropriate security control measures (access control, encryption, employee training, etc.) against risks such as loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage of User Information, in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related guidelines.

6. Cookies and External Transmission Regulations

The Service uses cookies and information-collection modules provided by third parties for the purposes of analyzing Service usage, delivering advertisements, and improving convenience. Pursuant to the external transmission regulations under the Telecommunications Business Act, the names of external operators to which User Information is transmitted through the Service, the content of the information transmitted, and the purposes of use are as follows:

This information is managed in accordance with the privacy policy of each respective provider. Users may disable cookies through their browser settings; however, doing so may render some features of the Service unavailable.

7. Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, etc. of User Information

Users may request disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, or erasure of their personal information held by the Company in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and other applicable laws (collectively, "Requests for Disclosure, etc."). Users may submit such requests through the inquiry form available within the Service. After verifying the identity of the requesting User, the Company will respond to such requests without undue delay in accordance with applicable laws and regulations. However, this shall not apply where the Company is not legally obligated to comply with such requests under applicable laws.

8. Changes to this Policy

The Company may update or amend this Policy from time to time in response to changes in applicable laws, regulations, the content of the Service, or other relevant circumstances. Where material changes are made to this Policy, the Company will notify Users through the Service, by email, or by other appropriate means.
